YES, YOU CAN KNOW FOR CERTAIN.

The MOST IMPORTANT THING you need to know - from the Bible – is you can know for certain that when YOUR BODY dies YOUR SOUL WILL go to heaven.

The Bible teaches that man is made up of body, soul and spirit -

Genesis 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Man is a trichotomy or he has a body, soul, and spirit. (I Thess. 5:23).

Man was created perfect and sinless. God placed him in the garden of Eden and told him not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In Gen. 3 Eve was tempted, and ate the fruit and gave it to Adam and from then on all men are sinners. (Rom. 5:12).

# 1: God LOVES YOU - yes, YOU-personally!

Because of His love for you and me, He made a way for us to be with Him in heaven when our time in the body is done.

John 3:16 says "God so loved the world(you and me and everyone), that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

#2: EVERYONE IS A SINNER

Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."

The reason that we "come short" of God’s glory(God’s righteous, perfect nature) is because "All have sinned."

"All" includes me and it also includes you.

Second of all, you must agree with God, and what He says to us through the Bible, and admit that you are a sinner.

#3: EVERYONE OWES A SIN-DEBT

Romans 6:23a says "For the wages(penalty, cost or debt) of sin is death"

Since our soul goes on forever (even though our bodies don't) – you do get to choose where you will spend eternity: Heaven (eternal life) or Hell (eternal death or separation from God and neverending torment).

Due to God’s righteous, perfect nature; He cannot even look upon sin.

Thirdly, you must realize that if you die in your sins, then you must pay the penalty for sin by residing in Hell – forever.

#4: EVERYONE’S SIN-DEBT HAS BEEN PAID

Romans 6:23 (the rest of the story) says:

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Although sin brings eternal death, God WANTS to give us eternal life through what Jesus did up on the cross.

Note: "Eternal Life" is

Not through going to church

Not through being baptized

Not through being a good person, but it is "through Jesus Christ our Lord"

Romans 5:8 says

"But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

The fourth thing you must believe is that Jesus has paid the wages of sin by dying for you, and eternal life is His gift to us when we believe that the sacrifice He made: His death upon the cross, burial and resurrection -  has paid our penalty.

#5: EVERYONE CAN BE SAVED - but not everyone can go to heaven

Although Jesus died to pay everyone’s sin-debt, not everyone is on his or her way to Heaven.

Fifthly, YOU must personally receive God’s Gift of eternal life.

YOU must believe what Jesus has done for you, and ask Him to save you.

Romans 10:9 says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Romans 10:13 says "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

No one can do this for you – it is a personal decision each person must make for him or her self.

You can be safe today. The key is in accepting (or receiving) God's gift and believing Jesus did all this for you. Ask Jesus to Save You Now - Believe in Your Heart and Live:

Sample Prayer:

Dear Jesus, I agree that I am a sinner; I understand if I died right now in my sin - my soul, all that is me, would go to Hell. I believe you paid my sin-debt; please forgive me for my sins. Right now, by faith, I am trusting you as my personal Saviour and my only hope for Heaven. Thank you for dying on the cross for me to save me from an eternity in Hell. In Jesus name, Amen.
