The infrastructure in Kapuskasing is probably as good or better than a much larger city. When it snows, the plows get out quickly to keep the roads clear and when it's not snowing, then the big trucks take away the accumulation of snow. Another shot on March 2, 2006.

Ross & Rachel in their "fort" - look below the watertower - that's our house and church is to the right - it's March 2, 2006 in this picture and it was only minus15 degrees Celcius

A view of our backyard - those sticks in the bottom right corner used to be a four foot hedge!

This was supposed to be a quick repair on the tower

It became more and more serious

But we were fixing the House of the Lord!
This was actually the beginning of the end

The windows of the church got a much needed makeover

The BBC Boys from Bradenton, FL
These guys came to Kapuskasing for 2 weeks and worked hard! They helped around the church property in the mornings and went to Mr. & Mrs. T. and helped them a couple of mornings. In the afternoons they went out witnessing and giving out tracts and inviting people to church. 22 people prayed to receive the gift of eternal life! Praise the Lord! We were blessed by these men and were sad to see our new good friends go home.

Our first baptisms in a few years!

A summer view of the church

Bart & Doris and Mark with the Raguth's at the beginning of August, 2005 - good friends from our sending church. They picked Mark up in Toronto and did us the favor of bringing him north with them!

Kapuskasing Baptist Church held its first Vacation Bible School in quite a few years and it was a huge success!
The wacky Jungle Jim was there every night.
You can't have VBS without pledges and the national anthem!
You also have to have an intrepid guide to go on a Jungle Adventure - that's Les Movealong(also known as Mark T.) on the left and Pastor Raguth on the right.
54 different kids came during the week, no less than 28 on any night, over 20 decisions were made and 8 chose to accept the Lord's gift of eternal life! Now, that's what it's all about - The Lord Is Good.
